This morning, residents kicked off their day with a scenic mountain bike ride! Between feeling the upbeat tempo and rhythm of the music, the warm and sunny alternative to a chilly day in Iowa, and exercising with fellow community members, our residents had a blast! #WhateverItTakes

Merry Christmas from Bickford of Iowa City. We had a wonderful time this week with fun holiday fun. We did some winter crafts, a bus trip, and even had a family Christmas party. The bus trip was to the Lights on the Lake. It was so much fun seeing all the light and hearing the residents talk about how pretty the light were. On Christmas Eve we the staff passed out gifts to residents and we sat around reminiscing about Christmas pasts. We at Bickford are so honored to get to spend the holiday season with your loved one. Have a wonderful holiday season and thank you for sharing your love ones with us.

This past Saturday we had our wonderful Christmas Party for our residents and their families. Santa made a visit, along with the Iowa City Chamber Choir. Who sang beautiful Christmas songs for us. December was a busy month for Birthday here at Bickford of Iowa City. Not only did we have 6 residents Birthday's, but we had 3 staff members as well. We would like to say Happy Birthday Cookie, Janet, Paula, Sharon, Harry, M.E, David, Devin, and Ashley. We celebrated all the birthdays with some Scratch cupcakes that they so kindly donated to us. The cupcakes were enjoyed by all.

Santa is COMING this Saturday from 10am to noon. We'll have some fun thing going on and snack.

Had some holiday fun this morning. Some of the residents frosted cookies and had a nice snack when they were done.

Due to the impending inclement weather for Saturday 12/13/2025, we have postponed the Christmas Party to 12/20/25 from 10am to Noon.

Santa is coming on Saturday don't forget!!!! Our party is from 10am to Noon. Hope to see you there!

We had the Keota Brass Band come play some Christmas music for us yesterday. The residents here jusy love live music. We just love watching the residents enjoy the music.

Yesterday we brought in the holiday cheer. We made brownies for National Brown Day and then painted so fun wooden holiday Christmas decorations.
