Watch your loved one thrive in an environment that feels like home
Navigating the aging journey is difficult.
We understand what’s at stake here: it’s not just someone, it’s your loved one.
Meanwhile, it’s on you to make the difficult decisions.

There's a Higher Path for our seniors
Senior care today is reactive, expensive, and siloed. It’s a sick-care system, not a health-care system (designed to keep seniors healthy). Most of us have accepted this status quo because it feels too big and complex to change. Not us. We’re taking the road less traveled and championing a higher standard of senior care.

Truly a community environment with caring that reflects residents being treated as if they are actual family members

My dad doesn't enter until Monday but the admin has been great getting us there.

It seems that the meals, other than breakfast aren't appealing to several of the residents. I'm not sure if you have to follow health guidelines, but I think they could be more appetizing meals served so they could at least enjoy what they're eating. Don't try to make them fancy just give them food that is seasoned. They need "comfort food."

We have been with Bickford for one month, I honestly cannot say enough about how pleased we are. From the first phone call with (name removed), it has been a positive experience, at our first meeting she introduced us to (name removed), the "Director of Happiness", what a fitting title for her. Dad's comments are, the food is great and there is so much to do. During our first meeting (name removed) explained how much they "care about the residents", my thoughts were, ok, her job is to make us believe they care. Dad has been living there a month now, let me just say, THEY DO CARE. Dad had a medical issue and we had to take him to the emergency room, we returned to Bickford at 3:45am, (name removed), met us outside the front door, worked with us to get dad settled, and then spent time with us assuring us that dad would be ok. (name removed) is amazing at communicating, her compassion for the residents shines, Bickford is so lucky to have her on their team. Thank you Bickford!

After I filled out the survey, I went down to get breakfast. The elevators are out and we are on the fourth floor so we had to walk up and down four flights of stairs. There were elderly women lugging suitcases down the four flights of stairs. No one was available to assist them. The breakfast was good, but several of the items were either out or very low. The attendant was nearby but had not filled the low items until asked. The coffee was OK, but there was no good sweetener except for sugar and saccharine. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was great, there was a lighted mirror, which was nice. The TV was OK, but it was not a smart TV and there was no mechanism for streaming on the TV. The thermostat on the wall was set at 70 and no matter whether we push the up air or the down arrow. It stayed at 70. There was a little refrigerator in the microwave which again was very nice. The bed was comfortable. We texted via the appropriate text mechanism to get a couple pillows that were more firm, but no one responded to that. When we walked down to the desk and asked, there were no other pillow options. There was a tissue box cover in the bathroom, but the box of tissues did not fit in the tissue box cover so both were sitting on the counter. (name removed) was the name of the attendant at the front desk when we came in. She was there the rest of the evening and was very helpful and attentive. There was plenty of parking in the parking lot was well lit. The location was great. All in all, it was a nice place to stay. Thank you!

I noticed in the parking lot at the end of the sidewalk at the entrance that The pavement needs to be repaired. It's difficult when pushing wheelchairs in and out of the parking lot.
