It's County Fair Day at Bickford of Urbandale! Although the rain brought our festivities inside we had a wonderful time celebrating. Thank you to Stefanie from Care Initiatives for providing root beer floats and thank you to Ciarra from Sacred Encounter for providing kettle corn! We also enjoyed a visit from Jake and his baby goats from West Healing Herd Farms. One of our amazing residents Bob showed off his incredible wood carvings for our residents and their loved ones. We love supporting our residents hobbies and helping show them off!

Meals needs to be tastier. Care giver Staff is still sometimes shorthanded therefore slow to respond. (names removed) are great!! Many care givers are very kind. Evening staff could be kinder and more gentle.

A wheelchair seat pad has gone missing. I've inquired about 6 times, never getting an answer.

New director is doing great. Some of the staff is great. A couple care givers need to stop sitting around on their cell phones. New director is working on that. Hooray!!! | Also meals need improvement.

My wife at times is not very happy with the food. One med was not reordered in time, so it was missed for several days.

Excellent communication from staff regarding my mother's progression in cognitive decline and discussions for options to assist her. (name removed) is especially spectacular! I appreciate staff kindness and compassion. So grateful to have my mom, (name removed), at Bickford! We feel we picked the best spot for her and our family! Thank you so much for all you do! You are amazing!
