The Card Ladies at The Rivers had a special treat today! A road trip to the home of a beloved resident for games, lunch, and cake!!! Did you know that playing cards can significantly enhance cognitive abilities for seniors?

Our residents were living their best lives thanks to Wing Blade Falconry! They had a closeup experience with exotic birds of prey! More than 30 residents held falcons and owls as they learned about as they learned about conservation and handling.

We are so excited to have Kimi Hersey join our team as our Memory Care Director. She has been serving the Alzheimer's and Dementia community since 2016. She started as a dementia caregiver, and worked her way up to a Team Lead/Supervisor. She has a deep passion for serving our seniors and believes that this is not just a job, but a true calling. Her Grandmother had Dementia and seeing her through that journey has given her the perspective, empathy and knowledge to provide the best care possible. Outside of work she enjoys concerts, spending time with her sweet dog, Riley, and outdoor activities such as: hiking and kayaking. Help me welcome Kimi to the Leadership Team at The Rivers!
