It’s almost the weekend! We’re having an awesome week so far to kick off the month of October. This morning Pastor Greg came in and spoke wise words as always. We went out to eat at Pizza Ranch today for this month lunch club, we all definitely needed a nap after hitting the buffet and dessert bar. And, last but never least we celebrated our first October Birthday! Happy Happy 91st Birthday Thayer! We are delighted to celebrate your special day. We hope it was filled with lots of smiles and everything you could dream of. Hoping this next year is a great one to come!

What a busy beautiful fall Tuesday here at Bickford of Ames. We spent the morning doing manicures in the building. This afternoon we had Paul Davis come for a performance and as always he knocked it out of the park! We also celebrated National Homemade Cookies Day with some Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies. We are going to turn in for the night and watch a good documentary :)

Happy Fri-YAY everyone! Today we spent time doing crafts to get us further into the fall spirit that’s coming up. We also spent some nice time outside and celebrated a birthday! Happy 84th Birthday to Dan Betts, we were ecstatic to celebrate your special day with you! I hope you have the most blissful year to come :) Have a great weekend everyone!

Started this beautiful day off with bible study, and then after lunch we went ahead and tie dyed some socks outside while we enjoyed the gorgeous weather! We also made a caramel and chocolate apple sheet pan for Johnny Appleseed Day. What a better way to celebrate that then with a sweet apple treat :)

Out of our way, we’re playing BINGO today!! I hope everyone had a fantastic day and got outside. The weather was gorgeous :)

Yesterday we got into our Bingo fun to kick off our week. Meanwhile today we had manicures and celebrated all September birthdays with some yummy brownies :) His birthday isn’t until Friday but, that doesn’t mean we can’t say happy birthday more than once! Happy Happy Birthday to Dan Betts! We can’t wait to celebrate you on your special day!

Yesterday we had the lovely opportunity to have Cindy here for Bible Study. It’s always a treat to see her :) We also celebrated National Butterscotch Pudding Day which was so yummy!

It was a beautiful day to have a skills fair! Not only are skill fairs a great way of learning but, it gives us a great chance to network. Thank you to all the hospice teams that came into the building today, the Ames Fire Department, and Tonya our Kitchen Manager. We highly appreciate the opportunity to learn. We had a few window peepers to make sure we were doing our fire safety correctly and cheer us on! LOL
