The recipe featured a perfect combination of sugar, corn syrup, crunchy peanut butter, corn flakes, chocolate chips, and chopped nuts, creating a sweet and satisfying snack. A Blessed Morning at Bickford of Urbandale: Bible Study with Chaplain Bob At Bickford of Urbandale, we cherish the special moments that bring our community together. Today was no exception! We had the pleasure of welcoming Bob, our Chaplain, to lead our Bible study. Bob joins us every first and third Thursday of the month at 10 AM, providing spiritual guidance and a peaceful start to the day for all who attend. His teachings not only inspire us but also create a warm environment where residents can come together, reflect, and share in fellowship. This morning's Bible study was a beautiful reminder of the importance of faith and connection in our lives. I also had the joy of witnessing our lovely director, who was spreading happiness with our dear friend Art. It was heartwarming to see the joy and smiles as they shared a moment of genuine connection. At Bickford, we believe that happiness is contagious, and it’s in moments like these that we truly feel the love and warmth of our community. We’re so thankful to have Chaplain Bob and our dedicated team here at Bickford of Urbandale. Together, we continue to create an environment where faith, friendship, and happiness thrive. A Day of Friendship and Helping Hands at Bickford of Urbandale Today at Bickford of Urbandale, we had the kind of day that reminds us just how special community and friendship are. It was a day full of laughter, kindness, and a whole lot of teamwork. We’re so grateful to everyone who chipped in and helped make it a memorable one. Our friend Patty, knowing how much our resident Sue loves animals, brought her adorable dog, Daphney, to spend some time with Sue. The comfort and joy that pet therapy can bring is truly remarkable, and it was wonderful to see Sue’s face light up as Daphney snuggled close. Meanwhile, Art, always ready to lend a helping hand, stepped up to assist with some shredding. His willingness to help with tasks big and small is something we truly appreciate. It’s the little things, like helping a friend or bringing a furry companion to brighten someone’s day, that make all the difference. A big thank you to Patty, Art, and everyone who contributed to today’s special moments. Your kindness makes our community feel like family. April Fools’ Day at Bickford of Urbandale was filled with laughter, birthday celebrations, and tasty treats! We celebrated the March birthdays of Carol, Mel, and Karen, while having a blast in our Bickford Bakers class. This time, we made cupcakes with a twist – adding a can of Sprite to the mix. At first, everyone thought it was an April Fools’ joke, but the cupcakes turned out deliciously pink and fluffy! After baking, we shared our treats with MaryB’s neighborhood, along with some fun stories. We wrapped up the day with a "Bizarre True or False" quiz, where everyone tried to figure out what was real and what was a trick. It was a wonderful day full of fun, food, and unforgettable memories.
