We Wear Pink for a Purpose
Here at Bickford, we proudly wear pink in October, not just for awareness, but in honor of the strength, courage, and hope behind every story touched by breast cancer.
This cause is especially close to our hearts because our very own Mary Bickford, the heart and inspiration behind every Bickford community, was a breast cancer survivor.
Her journey is one of the many reasons our doors are open today, creating a warm, home-like environment where love, comfort, and care always come first.
Today and every day, we wear pink for Mary, for our residents, families, and friends and for everyone fighting, surviving, and remembering.

A lovely afternoon out for two of our ladies we visited a charming new bakery called A Slice Above , and tea shop for some sweet treats and warm conversation. Afterwards, we stopped by our local library to pick out a few good books perfect for cozying up inside with a blanket and a good story this time of year. #momentsofhappiness #bickfordofgi #seniorliving #assistedliving

What a Wonderful Evening! Last night, we had the best time enjoying dinner at Chick-fil-A before heading out to see the Grand Island Senior High School’s musical, Shrek! The Chick-fil-A team gave our residents such kind and thoughtful service, opening doors, helping us get settled together, and serving our meals quickly with smiles all around. The musical itself was absolutely amazing! The students’ talent, energy, and hard work truly shined on stage. Congratulations to the cast and crew for a fantastic performance! If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, go support our local high school and catch Shrek the Musical, you won’t regret it! #BickfordAdventures #SupportLocalSchools #ShrekTheMusical #CommunityConnections #bickfordofgi #AssistedLiving #seniorliving

Walking the Higher Path at Bickford of Grand Island We believe every elder deserves to live a happier, healthier, and longer life — and that starts with being proactive and approachable in everything we do. Through Bickford’s Higher Path approach, we’re proud to be recognized for going beyond traditional care — creating meaningful moments, building trust, and supporting wellness with heart. We’re honored that Bickford of Grand Island has been recognized as a recipient of the Bronze Award from the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living — a reflection of the dedication and compassion our team brings to every resident, every day. Together, we’re not just extending life — we’re enriching it. #HigherPath #assistedliving #bickfordofgi #happierhealthierlonger

Our Little Pumpkin Patch There’s something so special about this time of year, a touch of autumn air, the colors, and pumpkins! Residents picked their pumpkins, from our little pumpkin patch, then spent the afternoon painting and carving while sharing sweet fall memories. Moments like these remind us that joy can be found in the simple things a paintbrush, a pumpkin, and friends to share it with. #BickfordFamily #PumpkinPatchFun #FallMemories #SeniorLivingWithHeart #bickfordofgi #assistedliving #seniorliving
