Today is National Umbrella Day! We decided to have a little fun with some gun umbrellas!

We love to make trips to the library. Reading keeps us interested in many things. We have a group now reading and loving it!

Amy German a Interpretative Language Instructor with the AEA, presented a fun and interesting program about sign language. We learned many common words,and practiced using sign language for those words. We thank Amy for teaching us another way to communicate. Always take time to learn something new!

Today was carrot cake day, so we made carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. It was so so good! We also made Valentines String Art crafts. Valentines is getting close, won’t you be my Valentine?

Baking isn’t just for the ladies. Our men can whip up some good cookies too! 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies are simple, and oh so good!

Visiting with friends and sewing together is what brings happy hearts together! We are family!

Blueberry Pancake Day… who doesn’t like blueberry pancakes!? I had help with mixing and taste testing. I am proud to say I passed the flipping test.. ha ha ha. Watercolor blue berries.. we tested our skills in watercolor. This is a very fun medium using water, water color paints, a loose brush.. and a technique to add dimension. Take a look!

These ladies were busy today! Our Cooking Club prepared a healthy afternoon snack. Thank you ladies. This afternoon we enjoyed valentine crafts. They were very creative!

Baking and painting are our favorite things! When residents get engaged in baking, it makes everyone happy. Valentine’s Day gives us good reasons to paint hearts, we’re going to hang these around the house to remind us that “All we need is love.”
