The Power of Music Therapy for Our Residents at Bickford of Saginaw
Music has a unique way of reaching parts of the heart and mind that words alone sometimes can’t. At Bickford of Saginaw, music therapy is more than an activity—it’s an important part of the Higher Path we walk with each resident to support their overall wellness, dignity, and joy.

Today’s Resident of the Day is Karen from our Mary B’s neighborhood here at Bickford Senior Living of Saginaw Township! Karen truly showed her leadership this morning as she proudly led our morning fitness club. She kept everyone motivated, active, and smiling throughout the session. Our residents were fully engaged, following along and giving it their all. Karen’s positive energy and encouragement helped make the workout fun and uplifting for everyone. We are so proud of her dedication, leadership, and the joy she brings to our community each day. Great job, Karen! #fitnesslife#memorycareliving#leadership#morningexercise#activeseniors

What a fun and eventful day here at Bickford Senior Living of Saginaw Township! Our AL residents were full of energy and excitement as we held our monthly auction. The event was extra special because it was led by one of our very own residents ROD who used to be an auctioneer—he truly brought the spirit and fun of a real auction to the room! There were plenty of great goodies up for grabs, and everyone did a wonderful job bidding and going home with some fantastic finds. Meanwhile, over in Mary B’s, our residents were feeling especially lucky today. They had a great time creating their own graham cracker rainbow treats and they looked just as delicious as they tasted! It was a colorful, creative activity that brought lots of smiles and laughter. With all the fun and a little bit of luck in the air, we can’t help but wonder…who found the pot of gold? #ResidentFun#Creativeaging#seniorlifestyle#Auctionfor living#Luckycharm#joyineveryday

**A Perfect Day for a Walk at Bickford of Saginaw Township** There’s nothing quite like a stretch of warm Michigan weather to bring everyone outside—and today, Family Advocate Heather made the most of it with two of our wonderful residents, Darlene and Pat. The three of them enjoyed a peaceful walk around our beautiful Bickford community, taking in the sunshine, sharing stories, and soaking up the fresh air. These simple moments—laughter, movement, connection—are what make life here feel so special. At Bickford of Saginaw Township, we believe wellness happens in everyday experiences: a stroll outside, a friendly chat, a familiar face by your side. And days like today remind us how meaningful those moments truly are. If you or your loved one is looking for a place where genuine connection comes first, we’d love to show you around. Come see the warmth, joy, and community for yourself! ~Schedule a tour today—we can’t wait to welcome you in. -Phone: (989)341-8518 -Email: heather.ouderkirk@bickfordseniorliving.com #BickfordSeniorLiving #BickfordOfSaginawTownship #SeniorLivingLife #WarmWeatherWalks #LifeAtBickford #ChooseJoy #SeniorCareWithHeart #VisitUs #ScheduleATour

Today here at Bickford Senior Living in Saginaw Township, our baking class was in full swing! We all agreed on the perfect name for our group — Grandma’s Kitchen — because it truly feels like home when we gather together. Laughter filled the room as we baked Funfetti cupcakes topped with bright green frosting and colorful sprinkles. Since March is all about the color green, we made sure to celebrate in the sweetest way possible. The smiles were just as bright as the frosting! #purposefulliving #AssistedLivingLove #Grandma‘sKitchen #JoyfulMoments

Today at Bickford Senior Living – Saginaw Township, we gathered for church service and reflected on the powerful words from Corinthians: "Let all that you do be done in love." - 1 Corinthians 16:14 Such a simple verse, yet such a meaningful reminder. Love in our actions. Love in our words. Love in how we care for one another every single day. Watching our residents bow their heads in prayer, sing along to the hymns, and share in fellowship fills my heart. Faith continues to be a beautiful foundation in our home. Grateful for these moments of peace, reflection, and community. #BickfordSaginawTownship #Corinthians #FaithAndFellowship #SeniorLivingWithHeart #ServingWithLove #BlessedDay
