Outings like this one are a wonderful way to break routine, enjoy a change of scenery, and create lasting memories together. Western Themed Day at Bickford Assisted Living and Memory Care At Bickford Assisted Living and Memory Care, we believe in creating joyful moments and meaningful experiences—and our recent Western Themed Day was a rootin’-tootin’ success! A highlight of the day was a foot-tapping live music performance that brought the spirit of the Old West to life. The sounds of classic country and western favorites filled the room, and it wasn’t long before toes were tapping and hands were clapping. And no Western day would be complete without a sweet treat, and our residents were delighted by their frothy, fizzy Black Cows—classic root beer floats. Melodies and Memories: Portage Zhang Senior Center Band Performs at Bickford of Portage The parking lot at Bickford of Portage was filled with the joyful sounds of music and laughter, as the Portage Zhang Senior Center Band brought their talents to a special morning performance for residents and staff. The band, made up of passionate and talented seniors from the Portage Zhang Senior Center, delivered a delightful mix of classics and toe-tapping favorites that had many in the audience humming along and even dancing in their seats. From golden oldies to big band swing, their set list was thoughtfully chosen to spark memories and lift spirits — and it certainly did.
