Over the last few weeks, our community has had the joy of watching new life unfold right before our eyes. Our BMF, Kaitlyn, brought in a clutch of eggs from her home so our residents could experience the full journey — from start to hatch. Residents loved candling the eggs to watch the tiny chicks develop, seeing the first little cracks appear, and finally witnessing them hatch live. Holding those fluffy new babies was the highlight of it all. The wonder, curiosity, and smiles this project brought were absolutely priceless. It’s been an amazing, hands‑on experience that connected everyone to nature, learning, and each other. Opening Day was a home run at Bickford of Lancaster Assisted Living and Memory Care! We kicked off baseball season with a full day of fun, starting with our very own spring training this morning. Residents warmed up their pitching arms and got into the spirit of the game right away. In the afternoon, we settled in to watch a live baseball game, complete with the classic ballpark snacks — peanuts and Cracker Jack included. The room was full of cheers, chatter, and plenty of nostalgia. To keep the excitement going, we played baseball cornhole and crafted our own pennant flags to show off everyone’s favorite teams.
