When Dennis first moved into our community in the middle of December, he had been struggling with failure to thrive. While living at home, he had not been consistently taking his medications or eating properly, and he arrived underweight and withdrawn. In the beginning, Dennis often refused to come out of his room for meals and would eat very little when food was brought to him.
With patience and encouragement from our team, Dennis slowly began joining others in the dining area. He started sitting with Scott during meals, and from that point forward things began to change. Dennis regained his appetite, started eating regularly, and gradually began putting weight back on.
In just about a month and a half, Dennis has achieved a weight goal. His family quickly noticed the positive changes and was thrilled to see him looking healthier and happier. They even asked our Montessori Engagement Coordinator to take an updated photo of him—one where he looked happy and was thriving.
While Dennis only occasionally attends activities, he consistently comes out for meals and enjoys spending time with others. He is happiest when he’s around staff and fellow residents, often joking and sharing laughs with everyone. Seeing Dennis regain his strength, confidence, and joy has been a wonderful success story for our community. #higherpathsuccess

There’s nothing quite like a friendly game of potato bowling to bring people together on St. Patrick’s Day! Today, residents gathered for some festive fun and had the chance to learn a brand-new game that quickly turned into a spirited competition. The rules were simple but challenging: roll a potato across the table and aim for the center of a clover. It didn’t take long for laughter to fill the room as everyone gave it their best shot, cheering each other on and enjoying the lighthearted atmosphere. As the game went on, the competition heated up, and a few standout players began to emerge. In the end, congratulations are in order for Mike, who earned the title of our ultimate potato bowler! His precision and consistency secured him the win and plenty of bragging rights. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday—full of smiles, friendly rivalry, and plenty of Irish spirit. We’re already looking forward to the next round of potato bowling fun!

Bowling Day Fun: Congratulations to Our Weekly Champ, Mike! Nothing brings out friendly competition quite like a good game of bowling! Today, our residents showed off their skills and their competitive spirit as they took to the lanes. While we didn’t keep an official score, strikes were the real highlight of the day. The energy was high as the guys went neck-and-neck, each trying to out-do the other with strike after strike. It all came down to an exciting tie-breaker — one final roll to see who would take home the title. The challenge was simple: whoever bowled a strike or knocked down the most pins would be crowned our weekly winner. And the victory goes to… Mike! With an impressive total of four strikes, Mike earned the well-deserved title of this week’s bowling champ. Great job to everyone who played, and a big congratulations to Mike for coming out on top! The enthusiasm was unanimous — the group voted to make bowling a weekly tradition. We can’t wait to see who rises to the top next time!

Yesterday was all about laughter, learning, and a little healthy competition as we tried out a new game: Tic Tac Toe Bean Bag Toss! It turned out to be the perfect mix of strategy and fun, giving everyone a chance to show their competitive side while still keeping the mood light and playful. Everyone jumped in with great energy, but one person truly shined. Mae powered through each round with focus and skill, ultimately claiming the title of ultimate winner!

Today’s game of Table Top Noodle Ball brought so much joy. We laughed, we got booped on the nose by a balloon, and we made the kind of memories that stay with you.
