“I Trust My Residents!” Last week, MEC Mandy decided to put her trust in our residents to the ultimate test! She placed a cup on top of her head and gave residents two choices—take a swing with a pool noodle or take aim with a Nerf gun to try to knock the cup off! Needless to say, our residents had WAY too much fun getting the chance to take a swing at Mandy! There was plenty of laughter, cheering, and maybe just a little nervousness from Mandy. We’re happy to report that Mandy survived the challenge…and only got hit in the head TWICE! ADOPT A GRANDPARENT THIS CHRISTMAS! We know it may seem a little early, but Christmas is just weeks away, and we are already getting excited for the holiday season here at Bickford! This year, we are doing Adopt a Grandparent to help make Christmas extra special for our residents. If you would like to adopt one of our residents—or maybe even two—please reach out to Mandy, our MEC. When reaching out, just let Mandy know if you would like to adopt a male or female resident. She will have a list of their likes and interests ready for you to pick up. If you are unable to stop by, she would be happy to email the list to you instead. We ask that gifts be kept to $25 or less. All gifts need to be turned in by December 15th. Our residents mean so much to us, and we are hoping to make this a truly magical Christmas filled with love, smiles, and holiday cheer. Today, our residents had a blast playing Tabletop Noodle Ball! There was plenty of laughter, excitement, and friendly competition as everyone worked to keep the balloon in the air with their paddles. One of the funniest moments was when Mandy had to keep chasing after the balloon as it went flying over our heads! And if you look closely in the background, you’ll spot Kayla striking a pose and making sure she was part of the fun! It was a wonderful afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and great memories!
