It’s been another wonderful week here at Bickford of Ames! Our residents have been soaking up all the fall fun — from sipping on homemade apple cider to diving into some spooktacular crafts. There’s nothing better than good company, warm cider, and a little creativity to make this season extra special. Here’s to friendship, faith, and fall fun at Bickford of Ames!

We’ve been having an absolute blast this fall! From pumpkin carving, exercising, to bingo hosted by our FOX therapy team and live music that had everyone clapping and singing along — it’s been one good time after another! The pumpkins turned out adorable, the treats we’ve been having are delicious, and the laughter was nonstop. There’s just something about fall that brings out the best in everyone — cozy vibes, good friends, and plenty of smiles all around.

We’ve been having such a great week here at Bickford of Ames. From outings and crafts to Bible study and sweet treats, our days have been filled with laughter, creativity, and good company. It’s always so nice to see everyone enjoying themselves and staying busy with all the fun activities we have planned.

What a wonderful week it has been here at Bickford as we celebrated National Assisted Living Week! Each day was filled with joy, laughter, and activities that brought us all together to honor the amazing residents who make our home so special. From fun themed events and games to creative crafts, music, birthdays, and plenty of delicious treats, we’ve enjoyed every moment of celebrating. Our residents truly shined as they shared stories, participated in activities, and enjoyed time with friends, family, and staff. Assisted Living Week is always a reminder of the vibrant lives lived here and the connections we cherish each day. We’re grateful for the smiles, the laughter, and the memories we’ve made together this week—it has truly been a celebration of community, friendship, and joy!

Fridays always bring a little extra cheer, and today was no exception. Our week has been filled with activities, laughter, and plenty of good company—and we couldn’t think of a better way to wrap it up than by celebrating a very special birthday! We hope Addie had the best birthday yesterday! We were so happy to celebrate her special day :) Here’s to birthdays, Fridays, and the joy of spending time together!

Remodel Update: Entering phase 2 of 3 at Bickford Senior Living of Ames We’re happy to announce that Phase 2 of our remodel is now underway, flooring! These updates help us create an even more inviting and comfortable space for our residents, families, and team. The third and final phase begins this October, bringing in all-new furniture and wall art to complete the transformation. Thank you for your continued support! We can’t wait to share the finished look with you soon!

It’s been a lively week here as we’ve been buzzing with all sorts of activities that kept everyone engaged and smiling. On top of our daily fun, our building remodel is coming along beautifully—we’re excited to see the changes take shape and make our home even more welcoming. We also had the joy of celebrating a special birthday on Monday, filling the day with laughter, cake, and plenty of love. What a wonderful reminder of the warmth and community we share here every day!

Each day here is filled with moments of joy, connection, and purpose. Whether it’s enjoying a favorite activity, sharing stories with friends, or simply relaxing in a cozy corner, there’s always something meaningful happening. We love seeing the smiles, laughter, and kindness that fill our halls. From group activities to one-on-one conversations, each moment reminds us that community is built on care and togetherness. Also, one big Happy Birthday shout out to Romaine! From leading daily devotions to bringing overall joy to the branch and others we hope he had a great birthday on Monday! Couldn’t have been more happy to celebrate his special day :)
