Meet Jerry!! If you don’t know Jerry, you need to make that a priority. Jerry began his journey with Bickford in Oswego where his mother in law, Dodie, was a resident. Jerry is a retired fire fighter (33 years) and Village of Oswego Public Works director for 31 years. When Jerry witnessed first hand what Bickford had to offer Dodie, he wanted to be a part of our family and come out of retirement LOL. Jerry started working in Aurora in 2017 as our maintenance tech and then we shared Jerry with Oswego as their maintenance tech also. If there’s something you need, Jerry is here with a smile to solve your problem. He’s the best for our residents and families and we are so lucky to have him! Jerry has been here full time in Aurora for us now for a few years so stop by and ask him to grill for ya… he’s the best griller too!

We’ve been busy bees today! This morning we made some faux flower arrangements to brighten up our apartments for spring!

Our Family Advocate, Katie, is celebrating her 11th anniversary with Bickford this month! However, she has been a part of the Bickford family for even longer than that. Her dad, Joe, who had dementia, was a resident of Bickford in Oswego! Now, as our family advocate, Katie is the first point of contact for our residents and families as they get introduced to Bickford Senior Living. She has been able to take her personal experience to help others with this transition for their loved ones for the past 11 years. Our residents in Mary Bs really got in the spirit of Baseball Opening Day with their own game of catch using “baseball” beach balls this afternoon!
