Our Family Advocate, Katie, is celebrating her 11th anniversary with Bickford this month! However, she has been a part of the Bickford family for even longer than that. Her dad, Joe, who had dementia, was a resident of Bickford in Oswego! Now, as our family advocate, Katie is the first point of contact for our residents and families as they get introduced to Bickford Senior Living. She has been able to take her personal experience to help others with this transition for their loved ones for the past 11 years. Say hello to one of our FIRST residents, Pat. She is not only one of my favorite human beings but she turned 100 years young today. When I asked her what the secret to living 100 years was, she replied “just take it as it comes”. I love her so much and cannot put into words how grateful I am that her daughter, Mary, chose Bickford for her mom. I remember meeting Mary at our local Starbucks for a “tour” before our branch was even constructed. I will never forget that day and our meeting and how lucky we are to have Pat in our beautiful home. Congratulations on 100!!!
