Kansas City, MO — Bickford of Rockford was recently honored as one of three nominees for 2023 Branch of the year at the company’s annual Pearl Ceremony in Kansas City. As part of the annual awards ceremony, Bickford headquarters sent a video crew to capture Rockford’s residents and resident family members talking about the impact the BFMs have had on them, and why they deserve the recognition. Bill Robertson: One of the main things I’m impressed with is that they seem to know all of the names of their clients, they’re wonderful. They are doing a fantastic job here. I can’t say enough good things about this branch.

Julie Young: My favorite thing about the Bickford branch is how amazing the family members are. I love coming here. This is my family. All of the the BFMs, the family members, they treat us with respect, they treat my mom with love. She has said, there are such nice people working here. And I know that she means it because I see that every day. They truly care. CNAs go above and beyond. I’m always happy to to be here and visit my mom number one, but I know that really special people are taking care of my mom. I know my mom is cared for. I know she is loved. The nurses are absolutely amazing. They care they care for a lot of residents but they know each resident very closely. I love it. I love that my mom is so well taken care of here. I wouldn’t want her anywhere else. This is the best place on earth for my mom right now in this stage of her life. You are amazing and we are so grateful.

Ron Babcock: I know this place and what it has meant for my family and how they have treated us. I could not have asked for anything better. From, oh, to the entire staff of Bickford. I wanna thank you for the last two years of support, help, and friendship that you have shown to me.

David Grenberg: We didn’t really have any fear after we talked to Dawn. We knew this was the right place for dad to be for the best care for his particular situation and conditions. The entire staff here is friendly no matter who you talk to. They’re always always going to and from caring for somebody or doing something to make the life of the resident better. On behalf of my dad and my wife, we’d like to thank you for the excellent care that you provide my dad and also all of the residents. You treat dad with respect and he really enjoys the personal touch you give to to him and to all the residents.
