Halloween magic filled our halls this week at Bickford Assisted Living & Memory Care! We hosted an indoor trick-or-treating event that brought smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of sweetness. Our residents welcomed little ghosts and goblins from the preschool next door — along with staff’s children — for a festive afternoon of trick-or-treating, games, and treats galore. But the fun didn’t stop there! The preschoolers gifted our residents with hand-drawn pictures to brighten their rooms — a gesture that touched every heart. A Wildly Wonderful Visit at Mary B’s! Today, our residents were treated to a special visit from Jungle Larry, a passionate wildlife educator working with the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Gorilla Program! Larry shared fascinating stories, stunning photos, and captivating videos of the incredible animals he works with—from majestic gorillas to exotic creatures from around the globe. His energy and love for wildlife lit up the room! We’re thrilled to announce that Larry’s YouTube channel, Larry’s Animal Safari, will now be part of our monthly programming. We had a heartwarming visit this week from our friends at Friendship Animal Protection League, featuring Kat and the lovely senior Pitbull mix, Fancy. Fancy was an absolute delight—gentle, affectionate, and so relaxed with our residents. In fact, she was so comfortable that in a few rooms, she didn’t want to leave and seemed ready to curl up for a nap. Our residents enjoyed every moment of her company, and we were thrilled to send Friendship Animal Protection League off with some of our homemade cat and dog treats. We hope the furry friends at the shelter enjoy them as much as we enjoyed Fancy’s visit. We’re already looking forward to next month’s visit and more tail wags and smiles. Thank you, Kat and Fancy, for brightening our day.
