Our residents were filled with joy and enthusiasm while participating in our daily activities. Over the past few days, we organized bingo games with candy prizes, which were a huge hit among the residents. We also hosted a Meet and Greet session, providing an opportunity for our new residents to get acquainted. Some of them shared their most memorable moments, particularly those related to their professional experiences. Additionally, we had a Coffee and Tea social gathering. Every day, our residents looked forward to their daily routine activities. Cornhole was a hit as well. During the day, they had the chance to take a ride through the neighborhood in a Trishaw sponsored by McHenry Cycling Without Age, followed by a Sing Along session with our loyal volunteer who played the piano. Of course, happy hour was a favorite among the residents, who eagerly awaited the chance to enjoy their preferred wine. It has been a remarkably productive week for both MB and AL residents, featuring daily gatherings and engaging activities. Highlights included watering plants to promote growth and freshness. Residents enjoyed riding in a Trishaw sponsored by McHenry Cycling Without Age. Playing balloon volleyball while preparing blueberry pancakes served as a delightful snack. Residents also appreciated reading books and magazines, solving word puzzles in our courtyard, and taking in the fresh air from the garden. Playing golf proved to be a hit, with some residents showcasing their competitive spirit and striving to be the best golfer. Residents were also treated to a performance by star dancers Gerda and Joan. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience this week as we commemorated National Assisted Living Week, from start to finish, with events such as Grandparents' Day, where the grand children and great grand children celebrated with us, Dress Your Best Day, with dance and music party, Western Day, Sports Day, where the residents played table tennis, balloon volleyball, and cooked yummy chili soup. We hosted a highly successful Luau Party for our Hawaiian Day. Our residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed themselves, taking part in dancing, singing, and refreshments that were truly exceptional. As we commemorated National Assisted Living Week, our community thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with our residents. Yesterday was Dress Your Best Day with music and dance party with our Executive Director, staff and residents. We had a blast on the dance floor. And today is our western day and played cowboy bingo.
