A Caregiver’s Manifesto

Watch our short film about who we are and what we stand for

There is no higher calling,
no greater purpose than that of a caregiver.
Somehow, we’ve come to believe that caregiving
is just for some of us and not all of us.
Yet at our core, we are all made to love, to connect,
to extend ourselves in service of others.
The question is … do we have the will to love, to do what it takes,
to risk ourselves in caring, even when the burden is great?
In times of happiness, in times of sadness –
we are that caregiver.

We are a family of caregivers who are willing to do whatever it takes to make our residents happy

The heart of a caregiver beats with these core values

You can feel it

We display genuine kindness, thoughtfulness, and a hospitable “can-do” attitude

We exhibit an inquisitive nature with a desire to improve

We maintain passion and perseverance despite failures, adversity, and plateaus

We recognize and care about the feelings of others

We understand ourselves and how we affect others

A caregiver’s work is timeless. Their love is infinite.

The Caregiver Ring of Honor is the highest award bestowed by Bickford Senior Living. These inductees have exemplified the caregiver who is willing to do whatever it takes. Their contributions will forever serve as an inspiration for us to follow.
