Every month we have “ Book Club “. We don’t all read the same book or anything but instead share excerpts from favorite books, devotional, short stories, or humorous jokes. Marilyn always shares and reads them aloud to us. Bonnie and I always book mark things to read as well. Other residents choose to just listen and appreciate the words. It’s so enjoyable to be able to spend these moments with them and it almost always leads to discussions about life “back then”.

Happy New Years Eve! We celebrated today with a “Noon Years Eve” balloon drop and Elvis performed in his gold sequin jacket for us this afternoon. We wrapped up the festivities with a New Years Eve Happy Hour with sparkling beverages and yummy appetizers! I wonder if any of the residents will make it to see the ball drop at midnight? I know I won’t!

Bickfords is like a family atmosphere. Everybody is treated very well and the staff is marvelous.

Not happy that we don't get a written monthly bill. I'm still not getting it to my email. Whoever is supposed to get the mail isn't doing it. Mom sometimes waits 2 days to get paper. Food is always great.

Bickford's is the perfect place for Mom. It is a smaller facility and the staff knows each resident and family members.
