Yesterday, some of our residents attended a concert, and there was no shortage of toe-tapping, clapping, and singing along! Every month, the community at the Rivers at Maryland Farms attends a monthly musical performance hosted by Music for Seniors, and it's a fan favorite. We know how important music and creativity are to the well-being of our residents, and we make opportunities to dance, sing, and enjoy musical performances a priority in our scheduled activities!

At The Rivers at Maryland Farms, every day is a celebration! Our residents have recently celebrated Mardi Gras, Mother's Day, Nurses' Day, and even National "Have A Coke Day!" Spring has sprung at The Rivers! Last Saturday, our residents threw a Spring Tea! One of our residents is a very talented hostess, and she volunteered to make her special recipe for spiced tea. Our residents all pitched in and made the delicious snacks and beautiful decorations. We were joined by students from Brentwood Middle School, and they brought so much joy to the community. There truly is nothing better than the meaningful connections we make with friends- especially when it comes with iced tea and dessert!

Today, our residents dug their hands into the soil and planted Marigold seeds to brighten their garden! Our day blossomed even more with a special visit from Blarney, an affectionate pup currently looking for his forever home through the Nashville Humane Association. Blarney, along with some wonderful volunteers from the association, brought so much joy to our community! Our residents are organizing a donation drive to support the Nashville Humane Association and the incredible work they do for animals like Blarney. From treats and toys to towels and food, we’re excited to give back to the animals who give so much love to others. Here at The Rivers, we’re growing more than just flowers—we’re growing connections, compassion, and community.
