Sometimes things don’t go according to plan… but that’s okay when you have residents like Ms. Rosemary!
Yesterday, we baked brownies with plans to decorate and enjoy them at today’s Halloween party. Wellllll… things took a turn!
When I went to grab the brownies from the kitchen today, they were HARD and completely stuck to the pans! And the funny part? The pans our residents sprayed were perfectly fine… only the ones I sprayed were a disaster!
As I was practically chiseling brownies out of the pans, our resident baker, Ms. Rosemary, stopped by to see what on earth I was doing. After explaining our little baking catastrophe, she pulled up a chair and said, “Bring me a knife!”
And just like that, we had ourselves a brownie rescue mission!
We managed to salvage 24 out of 60 brownies! While I got the frosting ready, Ms. Rosemary continued chiseling away at the rest.
Sometimes things don’t turn out how we hoped or planned, but one thing is for sure… our residents always have our backs!
And if there’s one thing we learned today, it’s that I should probably leave the pan spraying to the professionals!
