Sometimes the best activities aren’t even on the calendar! Valerie brought down her Rummikub game and invited Marian to join her for an impromptu match. Valerie took the lead, taught us the ropes, and before we knew it, the game was underway! We love seeing our residents take the initiative to share their hobbies, teach one another something new, and create their own moments of connection. We recently added a special new segment to our Monday Ice Cream Social called My True Story, an idea implemented by our very own resident, Jerry! Each week, residents gather over ice cream to reminisce, share memories, and tell stories from their lives. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about one another, spark meaningful conversations, and celebrate the experiences that make each person unique. This week, we enjoyed stories from Wayne, Valerie, and even our Happiness Coordinator Amber’s grandmother, who joined us via FaceTime!
