After nearly 13 years as the Activities Director at Bickford, I will be saying goodbye. My last day will be December 26, 2025. Even typing those words brings a heaviness to my heart. Serving this building, our residents, and their families has been one of the greatest honors of my life. These halls have watched me grow, learn, laugh, and sometimes cry. The residents I’ve had the privilege to serve have become part of my family. Their stories, their smiles, their trust—those are gifts I will carry with me forever. I have grown in ways I never expected. I’ve learned what true resilience looks like. I’ve witnessed love in its purest forms. I’ve seen families come together, and I’ve walked alongside residents as they adjusted to assisted living, finding comfort, joy, and belonging. Being part of that journey has changed me. Leaving is incredibly hard. This place has shaped me, and the relationships I’ve built with residents, families, and staff will never leave my heart. But it’s time for me to continue growing and serving others in new ways, even though a piece of me will always remain here. Thank you—each and every one of you—for your support, your kindness, and your love over the years. You trusted me with your loved ones, and that trust has meant everything.
