A Night at the Ballpark: Residents Cheer on Our BFM
There's nothing better than coming together as a community, and that's exactly what happened when several of our residents headed to the ballpark to support James, one of our very own Bickford Family Members, during his baseball game.
The excitement started long before the first pitch. Residents were eager to attend, sharing stories about their favorite baseball memories and looking forward to spending time together outside of the community. Once at the field, they settled into the stands, proudly cheering on their BFM as he took the field.
The game was filled with great plays, friendly competition, and plenty of community spirit. Residents enjoyed the fresh air, the energy of the crowd, and most importantly, the opportunity to support a staff member who makes such a positive impact in their daily lives.
Events like these highlight the special relationships that form within our community. Our residents and team members are more than just neighbors and caregivers. They become friends, supporters, and extended family. Being able to celebrate each other's accomplishments and interests outside of the community creates meaningful connections that enrich everyone's lives.
The evening was full of smiles, laughter, and memories that will be talked about for weeks to come. We are so grateful for opportunities like this that allow our residents to stay engaged, connected, and involved in the lives of those around them.
A big thank you to our BFM for giving us something to cheer about and for all he does for our community. We had a fantastic time supporting you, and we're already looking forward to the next game! Also, a big shout out to our Maintenance Coordinator Tyler Thompson for providing transportation and joining the fun!
⚾ At our community, every day is an opportunity to build connections, create memories, and celebrate one another. ❤️

A Seat Worth Celebrating: David Reaches an Important Milestone At Higher Path, some of the biggest victories are found in the moments that help people reconnect with the life they love. Recently, David achieved a goal that has motivated him throughout his rehabilitation journey. After weeks of hard work with our occupational therapy team, David was able to safely transfer into the passenger seat of his truck once again. While he is no longer able to drive, being able to sit in his truck opens up opportunities that many take for granted. It means being able to travel comfortably with family and friends, get out into the community, visit stores, enjoy outings, and participate in everyday activities that bring purpose and joy. This achievement did not happen overnight. Through dedication, persistence, and determination, David worked closely with occupational therapy to improve the strength, balance, mobility, and transfer skills needed to reach this goal. Every therapy session brought him one step closer to regaining a level of independence and freedom that is incredibly meaningful to him. Seeing David successfully transfer into his truck was a proud moment for everyone involved. More importantly, it was a reminder that rehabilitation is about far more than physical progress. It is about helping people return to the activities that make life fulfilling and meaningful. At Higher Path, we are honored to celebrate these moments alongside our residents. Congratulations, David, on your hard work and perseverance. Your dedication is an inspiration, and we look forward to seeing where your next adventure takes you.

At Higher Path, caregiving is about more than meeting needs. It is about creating moments that bring joy, connection, and purpose to each resident's day. Recently, members of our caregiving team went above and beyond to make a special day possible for Margaret. Knowing how much Margaret enjoys getting out into the community, caregivers took time to accompany her on a lunch outing, giving her the opportunity to enjoy a meal in a welcoming restaurant setting and spend quality time outside of the community. The afternoon did not end there. After lunch, the group continued their adventure with a shopping trip, allowing Margaret to browse stores, explore items that caught her eye, and enjoy the simple pleasure of choosing things for herself. These experiences may seem small, but they can have a tremendous impact on a person's sense of independence, dignity, and happiness. At Higher Path, we believe that exceptional care means seeing the person behind the resident. It means learning what brings a smile, what creates meaningful memories, and what helps each individual feel valued. Our caregivers consistently demonstrate this commitment through acts of kindness that extend far beyond their daily responsibilities. Margaret's special outing is a wonderful example of the compassion, dedication, and person-centered care that define our team. By taking the time to create these meaningful experiences, our caregivers help residents continue enjoying the activities and moments that make life fulfilling. We are incredibly proud of team members who choose to go the extra mile every day. Their dedication reminds us that caregiving is not just about providing support. It is about enriching lives, building relationships, and creating memories that matter.
