From poodle skirts to leather jackets, jukebox hits to coca-cola floats, we went all-out and turned back time to the fabulous fifties. Gorgeous Grandma Day! Today was all about celebrating the radiant beauty, wisdom, and joy of the women in our Bickford Home, whether they’re grandmas, great-grandmas, or honorary grandmas in our hearts. We stepped out in style and sunshine, taking advantage of the beautiful new mural in town, vibrant sunflowers against a golden sunset. It was the perfect backdrop to capture the light these lovely ladies carry within them every day. We also enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Chocolate Bar, and of course some sweet treats. From shared stories to shared smiles, it was a day filled with heart, memories, and happiness. Special Visitor Alert! Today our hearts were full thanks to the visit from the sweetest little friend, Shadow the miniature horse with the biggest heart! Our residents were all smiles as they got to pet, hug, and spend time with this gentle soul. His calming presence and warm spirit brought such comfort and joy to everyone. We are beyond grateful for the love he spreads throughout our town. He truly is a treasured part of our community, sharing happiness wherever his tiny hooves go.
