Having fun at #BickfordofClinton is a daily occurrence - we love our residents and staff! Even when they caught more smiles than fish

The adventure continues as we had a picnic in the park! It was a beautiful day to get out and enjoy some fresh air with a view of the Mighty Mississippi River. We enjoyed a fantastic sack lunch prepared by Sandy. Today’s menu was chicken salad sandwich, orange slices, chips, and Rice Krispie treat for dessert. More fun was had today. Today was crazy hat day in Clinton, there were some pretty amazing hats. We also had our residents share some of the adventurous things they have done like climbing a mountain, riding deep in the ocean in a submarine, leaning backwards over a cliff to kiss a Blarney Stone for luck, and so many more interesting adventures. We are so blessed to have such an amazing family in Clinton and sharing their past lives with us! #BickfordofClinton. #CelebrateNALW. #WhateveritTakes

Residents had the chance to try something new and adventurous today, Ube Cake. A sweet and vibrant dessert from the Philippines made with mashed purple yams topped with cream cheese frosting. Today we had our seasoned travelers star the many places they have traveled and share stories about their adventures with the different customs and cultures. They have been to Ireland, Sweden, Germany, Japan, Israel, Italy, Australia, France, and many places all over the United States. Our ageless adventures continues. Today we took a pontoon boat ride on the Eco Blue Heron. We got to see many Eagles, Herons, Egret, turtles. Learned about life on the mighty Mississippi. It couldn't have been a more perfect day. Thanks to our volunteers, Chuck, Julie and Beth for coming along!

Kicking off Assisted Living Week 2025 “Adventurous Aging” with Adventurous Foods around the world. We had some daredevils trying out these foods today; Calamari, clams, wasabi, roasted seaweed, Mexican lager, Swedish crisp bread. Some gave a thumbs up to the delicacy and several with a thumbs down, the faces say it all. Stick around to see what we do the rest of the week. #Bickfordofclinton. #assistedlivingweek

Our Monarch Quest continues. Today Betty, Sandy, Jan and Lois got to release these beauties. Tomorrow will yet be another day to release more.
