There’s something special about summertime at Bickford Senior Living. The sunshine, blooming flowers, and warm breeze create the perfect backdrop for laughter, friendship, and meaningful moments shared together. Our residents recently enjoyed a beautiful summer day filled with engaging activities that brought smiles to every face. From relaxing outdoors with refreshing lemonade to friendly games, music, and heartfelt conversations, the day was a wonderful reminder that life is meant to be celebrated together. One of the highlights of the day was spending time with members of our local community. Whether visiting with family, welcoming volunteers, or enjoying the company of neighbors and friends, these connections enrich the lives of our residents and strengthen the bonds that make Bickford feel like home.

Our residents recently enjoyed a special piano recital performed by a talented group of young musicians. Their beautiful music brought smiles, joy, and meaningful connections throughout the community. Music can be especially beneficial for individuals living with dementia, helping to stimulate memories, reduce anxiety, and encourage engagement. Residents were delighted by the performance and enjoyed the opportunity to support these young performers. We are grateful to the children, their families, and instructors for sharing their talents and making the day so memorable. #BurlingtonBickford #MusicTherapy

My office is always open to residents, caregivers, and families. Jakayla and Ann share a quiet moment on the couch in my office. The pace of the day slows as they sit together, talking lightly and enjoying a small piece of candy. It’s a simple break, but it brings a sense of comfort and connection—just two people pausing in a busy day to enjoy something sweet and peaceful together.

At Bickford of Burlington, we believe that exceptional care starts with being there when it matters most. That’s why we’re proud to share that our average call light response time is just 1–2 minutes—a standard that reflects our commitment to attentiveness, safety, and respect. This quick response time isn’t just a number—it has made a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. By responding promptly, our team helps reduce the risk of falls, ensuring residents receive assistance before small challenges turn into larger concerns. The result is a safer environment where individuals can feel confident and supported every step of the way. Just as importantly, our rapid responsiveness promotes dignity and independence. When residents know help is always close by, they feel more comfortable asking for assistance, maintaining their routines, and preserving their sense of control. #HigherPath #BurlingtonBickford
