Today we celebrate our favorite maintenance director, Santa and friend, Mark! All of the staff dressed as Mark today at work to help him ring in his birthday (an age we will not discuss). He is the backbone of our branch and we just adore him to pieces! Happy Birthday, Mark!!!

Crafting Joy! Our residents had a great time soaking up some arts & crafts today! Nicole from our local art center stopped by and led everyone in creating the cutest little Christmas trees using pipe cleaners, paper straws, beads — and of course, a festive bell on top! It was such a fun, simple craft that filled the room with smiles, laughter, and lots of holiday cheer. A creative start to the season Our residents recently spent some time making their own gingerbread men, and it was great to see how focused and engaged they were. Everyone approached their designs in their own way, adding small details and personal touches as they worked. It was nice to see their smiles and the sense of accomplishment as they created something they could decorate and make their own. National Homemade Bread Day was a TOTAL HIT at Bickford of Burlington! Yesterday, our Baking Club got a little wild… and a whole lot sweet. We rolled up our sleeves, grabbed our bowls, and whipped up something most people don’t even know exists… ICE CREAM BREAD! Yes—bread. Made from ice cream. And yes—it’s as magical as it sounds. Our residents had fun mixing, stirring, laughing, and sprinkling a whole bunch of extra “love” into two delicious flavors: Vanilla + Dried Cranberries + A splash of vanilla Vanilla + Chocolate Chips (because chocolate chips make everything better!) Our residents also voted on our favorite flavor… but it ended in a tie! Team Cranberry vs. Team Chocolate Chip. (Both teams celebrated. It was a day full of fun, creativity, and tasty surprises—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
