There’s something truly special about live music. Whether it’s the strum of a guitar, the soulful sound of a singer, or the rhythm of a jazz band, live performances have a way of bringing people together and lifting spirits in a way that recorded music simply can’t match. Not only do our residents love to listen to live music, but there are so many incredible benefits of it too! It boosts the mind and mood, builds community and connection, makes any occasion special, supports incredible local talent, and of course makes a lasting impact! Our residents love to sing along, and dance with each other, and tap their toes along to the beat. Watching their faces light up while listening to their favorite songs is one of the best parts of this community!

Come on out to our first annual Trunk or Treat at Bickford of Battle Creek October 30th from 6 - 7 pm! We will have no tricks, just treats! Residents will pass out candy, popcorn will be popping, movies will be playing, and fun to be had! We would love to see everyone's spooktacular costumes and smiling faces!

Painting, Popcorn, and the Pumpkin King, oh my! Here at Bickford of Battle Creek, we loved getting to enjoy the fall festivities of decorating for Halloween! The residents got to embrace their inner artist by painting pumpkins, while enjoying a popcorn treat and watch Nightmare before Christmas. We would love to have everyone check out and enjoy the residents hard work next week at our Trunk or Treat on October 30th, from 6-7 pm!

To hear a resident say, "I feel beautiful," it makes my heart so happy. Watching their faces light up as they see their inner beauty shine outwards makes the job worth it and makes me tear up. Everyone deserves to feel loved, and beautiful. That is what our "Nails and Nonsense" is all about. Showing them that regardless of age, or ability, they too deserve to shine and feel beautiful every day.

Life is short, eat dessert first! Today here at Bickford of Battle Creek, our Bickford Bakers were hard at work making delicious, and beautiful cupcakes to share with everyone. There is truly something special about making cupcakes, or any treat really, you can taste the love in each bite. It's more than just a hobby; it's an act of mindfulness. Measuring ingredients, stirring batter, and decorating each cupcake helps you focus on the present moment. The process encourages patience, precision, and creativity. Plus, baking for others is one of the most heartwarming ways to show love and care. The magic is in sharing the results — one sweet bite at a time. When most people hear “Montessori,” they think of preschool classrooms filled with tiny chairs and hands-on learning tools. Strikes, Spares, and a whole lot of Smiles! This morning our incredible residents traded in walkers and wheelchairs for bowling ball (Well... Almost!) and hit the floor for our much-anticipated Living Room Bowling Bonanza - and what an incredible time we had! The energy was high, the laughter contagious, and the competition fierce! Strikes were celebrated like Olympic victories, and even gutter balls got plenty of cheers! They claimed they had never bowled before which was hard to believe, they were all too good! It was more than just a game, it was a morning filled with joy, connection, and plenty of cheers. Events like this remind us how vibrant, spirited, and full of life our community is. Thank you to all the residents who joined in on the fun, cheered, and made memories, including our beloved skeleton Bick! Let's keep the ball rolling for more fun to come!

BOWLING TOURNAMENT AT THE BICKFORD OF BATTLE CREEK In the warm glow of the sun room, laughter echoed as both Assisted Living and Memory Care residents came together for a lively afternoon of bowling.
