????Black Pearl Honorees 2026????
While we've already had the pleasure of celebrating our Black Pearl recipients, we'd like to take another moment to recognize our four outstanding BFMs (Bickford Family Members): Sani, Ray, Mindy, and Sophia.
The Black Pearl Award is a special honor that recognizes BFMs who go above and beyond in enriching the happiness of our residents, families, and fellow BFMs. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment to excellence make a lasting impact every day.
As Black Pearl honorees, Sani, Ray, Mindy, and Sophia received a Black Pearl name badge, a special gift, and the distinction of having their plaque displayed in our branch for the next year. A lasting tribute to their exceptional contributions and the difference they make in the lives of others.
Congratulations again to these exceptional BFMs! Thank you for your hard work, kindness, and commitment to making Bickford a place where residents, families, and fellow BFMs feel valued and supported every day

Today, our BFMs (Bickford Family Members) participated in an exciting Skills Fair filled with hands-on learning experiences. We were joined by Boynton Fire Safety, who conducted a live fire safety demonstration. Each BFM had the opportunity to use a fire extinguisher and safely put out a live fire, building confidence and strengthening their emergency preparedness skills. We also welcomed Heart to Heart Hospice, who provided an interactive dementia training experience. This unique training allowed our staff to better understand not only the emotional and cognitive challenges of dementia, but also what it can physically feel like to be a resident living with dementia. By experiencing some of the sensory and physical barriers firsthand, our BFMs gained greater empathy and insight that will help them provide even more compassionate care. A big thank you to our community partners for helping make this event both educational and engaging. Please enjoy these photos of our BFMs learning new skills, gaining valuable knowledge, and having fun together!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the Fourth of July! On Friday, our Bickford of West Lansing family enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon at our Car & Craft Show. Residents, families, and community members came together to browse talented local vendors, admire beautiful vehicles, and celebrate the holiday with great company. A huge thank you to everyone who attended, our amazing vendors, and all of the volunteers who helped make this event such a success. We loved seeing so many smiling faces and celebrating together as a community! We hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July!
