Hello Bickford Families, We hope you had a wonderful week! It was a busy and joyful one here at Bickford of Gurnee. Our Happy Hour was very well attended, and we loved seeing residents laughing, visiting, and enjoying time together. We also celebrated Cinco de Mayo with delicious, homemade Mexican food lovingly prepared by Carlos—it was a big hit! Our field trip to Feed My Starving Children was a great success as well. Thank you to everyone who helped make this meaningful outing so special. This morning, we were treated to beautiful music from Jane Alison, who entertained residents with her wonderful voice—it was a lovely way to start the day. As part of our Montessori program, we seek out activities that give our residents a sense of purpose. One great way to create a sense of purpose is by giving back and volunteering. Today, we had an outing to Feed My Starving Children to package food going to people in need in Honduras. We helped package 43,200 meals that will feed 118 kids every day for a year!
