The residents enjoyed the nice weather by helping plant flowers and other plants in the Mary B's Courtyard! It was a team effort with both Assisted Living and Mary B's residents participating. Hello Bickford Families, We hope you had a wonderful week! It’s been another lively and joyful week here at Bickford of Gurnee. Our residents once again enjoyed a fantastic Happy Hour filled with great conversation and smiles all around. We also celebrated our May birthdays with a fun and festive party social—always such a special time to honor our residents! A highlight of the week was our outing to Emilee’s Pancake House, where everyone had a wonderful time enjoying a delicious meal together. We were also grateful to welcome Officer Kelly from the Gurnee Police Department, who provided an informative and engaging Safety and Scam Awareness presentation. Our residents truly appreciated the opportunity to learn and ask questions—it was both educational and enjoyable. Upcoming Events We have several exciting events on the horizon! Open House – Igniting and Introducing New Leadership at Bickford of Gurnee Join us on Thursday, June 11th from 4:00pm–6:00pm for our Open House: Igniting and Introducing New Leadership at Bickford of Gurnee. All families are warmly invited to attend! We will be serving appetizers and refreshing mocktails. More details will be shared soon—we hope to see you there! Father’s Day Happy Hour We invite you to celebrate the special men in our community at our Father’s Day Happy Hour on June 18th at 3:00pm. We would love for families to join us in honoring and celebrating their dads! Feed My Starving Children Outing We will be heading out again to Feed My Starving Children on Wednesday, May 27th from 2:00pm–3:45pm. Please let Mallory know if your loved one would like to participate. Friendly Reminders Salon Day Our next hair salon day will be Tuesday, June 26th between 9:00am–11:00am. Please contact Mallory to reserve an appointment. Staff Coverage I will be out of the community on PTO from Wednesday, June 27th through Friday, June 29th.
