Our residents had an absolute blast today with a lively game of Pokeno friendly competition, and a whole lot of smiles! After the game, we slowed things down with some peaceful coloring time and Fingerprint necklace craft making where creativity flowed and beautiful masterpieces came to life. To top it all off, we soaked in the sunshine with some much needed outside time, enjoying the fresh air and the beauty of nature all around us. What a wonderful day at Bickford of Greenwood! We started our afternoon with a fun outing to Cracker Barrel, where the comfort food was just as good as the company. Nothing beats great conversation over warm biscuits and sweet tea! When we returned, we were welcomed back by the incredible Ed the Piano Man, filling the air with beautiful melodies. His music brought smiles to Assisted living and memory care! To top it all off, the amazing Nicole dazzled us with her tap dancing and singing—what a show! Fun & Functional Fitness at Bickford of Greenwood! Our residents have been staying active with a simple but effective exercise: reaching and placing rings on cones! This engaging activity is more than just fun—it helps improve hand-eye coordination, range of motion, balance, and fine motor skills. It's a great way to keep bodies moving and minds sharp, all while having a little friendly competition and a lot of laughs. Mother’s Day Celebration at Bickford of Greenwood! We had a wonderful weekend honoring the amazing mothers in our community! On Friday, we kicked things off with a flower planting activity with luminary Tina and Hannah—residents got their hands dirty (and their hearts full) as we brightened up our garden together of course they got to grow from seed first. Today, we kept the celebration going with a sweet Ice Cream Social! Residents shared stories, laughter, and memories that reminded us just how special mothers are and the legacy they leave behind. What a day at Bickford! From building our new vegetable bed with our amazing Happiness Coordinator we’ve shared stories about building and how our husbands were quite the handy man around the house. We kept busy with puzzles, peaceful coloring, and an Elvis Presley social dancing in our seats and in awe of his good looks! We also enjoyed a popcorn-filled showing of Mary Poppins the musical and some lovely one-on-one nature walk with 2 of our residents' dogs to top it all off. Classic Car Show – Friday, May 17th Join us for our Classic Car Show on Friday, May 17th, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM here at Bickford. We will have a great lineup of classic cars. It’s a great chance to spend time with your loved one and mingle with other families and friends. If you’re interested in showcasing a car, please contact Jeanette Christy at (317) 306-0504. The cost to participate is $20 per car, and all proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Additional details will be shared soon—stay tuned!
