Today at Bickford of Bloomington our residents relaxed while listening to the sweet melodies coming Steve M. on the saxophone. He played some familiar songs along with ones that we didn't know but still enjoyed. As soon as his time was up, residents were already asking him if he was planning on coming back to serenade us some more. Safe to say they loved him and yes he will be back.

Today at Bickford of Bloomington we like to get out and explore! Today we took a trip to Pheasant Ridge Farm and had ourselves a nice picnic after a beautiful scenery tracker ride around the farm. A deer or two was even spotted. Summertime is the time to get out and enjoy some fun in the sun and today was a perfect day to do so , the ride, the company and the scenery all put together made for a perfect outing with the residents of Bickford!

Today at Bickford of Bloomington we learned at new card game called Grabage. It was fun watching their faces light up as they figured out the game and started winning. Lori B. has been away for awhile and couldn't wait to get back to us at Bickford of Bloomington to teach us something new. This new card game will definitely be added into our roster.

Bickford of Bloomington's Garden Club loves the spotlight. We decided to spread the love over to Mary B's, our beloved memory care. Residents planted flowers and some herbs so they can enjoy the garden as well. We were even able to convince some of Mary B's residents to join in on the fun making it an even better day for gardening! It was such a joy to see Independent, Assisted living and Memory Care residents working together making the outside of our building beautiful.

Some days at Bickford of Bloomington we like to relax and show our creativity. Disappearing landscape art gave our residents a chance to make and share their own masterpieces before they disappeared. What fun we had trying to get them to stay before realizing they were supposed to vanish.

Today at Bickford of Bloomington we remember our fallen soldiers. Our dear friend Mike the Storyteller came to put on a show for our residents. A Memorial Day Tale put together a group of stories showcasing how the holiday came about. In honor of the soldiers who have lived at Bickford of Bloomington and the ones that still reside with us. We appreciate you and thank you for your service.

The Graden Club at Bickford of Bloomington is at it again! Our strawberry contest winner is Wayne Woodury affectionately known as Woody with the first strawberries to bloom. His wife of 56 years Carol W. came in second with the largest berry with Marcella B. in third place with the smallest berry in the bunch. Today after our three winners were called, the rest of the group still walked away with smiles and prizes.
