The Graden Club at Bickford of Bloomington is at it again! Our strawberry contest winner is Wayne Woodury affectionately known as Woody with the first strawberries to bloom. His wife of 56 years Carol W. came in second with the largest berry with Marcella B. in third place with the smallest berry in the bunch. Today after our three winners were called, the rest of the group still walked away with smiles and prizes.

At Bickford of Bloomington the whole community come together for a restaurant style dinning experience. Kitchen aids and CNA's work together serving drinks and taking orders as our Kitchen staff serve up delicious meals.

Twice a week Chaplin Tony comes to visit our residents at Bickford of Bloomington to offer prayers and Bible study. We belive in uplifting the mind and body through Montessori activities coupled with spiritual awareness. Residents enjoy being able to have Bible study with the Chaplin without having to leave the comfort of their home.

At Bickford of Bloomington Thursday's are for Graden Club! Today we arranged more flowers for our dining room centerpieces and checked on our strawberries we planted a few weeks ago. As the strawberries grow residents are getting competitive, it looks like Woody is in the lead with his strawberries growing the fastest. The first resident to be able to pick their strawberry wins a prize! The race is on! While we wait, we are enjoying finding different ways to display our donated flowers.

Today at Bickford of Bloomington "Kelly Briar the family quartets" came to serenade us with sweet music from Iconic films like Jurassic Park and Star Wars. The residents and staff alike love when the halls of Bickford are filled with sounds of music. I love seeing when the residents recognized the songs being played on the instruments.

Spring is in the air and the residents here at Bickford of Bloomington are ready for it. A few of us got together and made some bird feeders. We chose a kit that required no tools so we could concentrate on socializing among friends. We plan to fill them with bird feed before hanging them outside their windows so they can watch the birds this summer.

At Bickford of Bloomington we take our granden seriously. Our granden club put together some flower arrangements donated to us by a residence family member and a local church.

Today at Bickford of Bloomington we celebrated our mother's with a Mother's Day Tea Party! As we gathered together to celebrate the joys of motherhood we munched on pulled pork sliders, along with an assortment of cookies and cupcakes. We were able to mingle amongst mothers and play a friendly game of Family Feud Motherhood Edition. What a way to end the week!

Wednesday is for Bingo here at Bickford of Bloomington! Today our voted Queen Janice helped call Bingo in her pretty Red Hat's attire, another one of Bickford's clubs that she is involved in. Janice loves to help around the community and we love it when she does.

Today at Bickford of Bloomington my "Golden Gals" as they are affectionately known around the building, helped put together centerpieces and other decorations. We are settting the tables and putting up the other decorations at our upcoming Mother's Day Tea Party happening this Friday!!
