We are excited to welcome Sueanna Alexander to the Bickford of Virginia Beach team. Sueanna (on the right in photo) will be stepping into a role formerly known as our Happiness Coordinator, now proudly titled Montessori Engagement Coordinator (MEC). This title change is intentional and meaningful, as our activity professionals are some of our strongest champions of implementing the Montessori lifestyle and engaging our residents in purposeful, individualized ways. At Bickford, Montessori-based engagement supports seniors by honoring their abilities, preferences, and life experiences. Through hands-on activities, meaningful routines, and choice-driven engagement, Montessori practices help promote independence, support cognitive health, reduce anxiety, and enhance overall quality of life within our community. Sueanna has been training alongside our MEC teams at Bickford of Suffolk and Bickford of Chesapeake and is pictured here with Chesapeake MEC Sherlisa (on the left). She brings a passion for singing, creativity, drama, and so much more, and is incredibly excited to begin enriching the lives of our residents.
